Recently, RightCare Foundation International, Inc. carried out palliative relief in Umuokoro,  Amuzi and Okwuta/Umuogwukwu Uvuru Mbaise, Imo state Nigeria. The relief effort involved the distribution of rice, yam, indomie and other food stuff to indigent families in the two communities. RightCare Foundation representatives also used the occasion to carry out heath education campaign to educate the communities on the need to comply with the preventive measures put in place by the World Health Organization and other relevant health agencies. The beneficiaries also received masks, hand sanitizers, and other educational materials relating to the prevention of corona virus. Speaking on behalf of the women of Umuokoro  Amuzi, Mrs Anumudu thanked RightCare Foundation for remembering them at this very crucial time and prayed that the Foundation will continue to grow from strength to strength.

In his remarks, Hon Councillor Uche Agomuo , representing the Chairman of Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area said the gesture by RightCare Foundation was lifesaving and encouraged the Foundation to continue the good work. The distribution of food stuff and other palliative items  were duplicated in Okwuta and Umuogwukwu villages in Egbelu, Uvuru Mbaise. The women were overjoyed that RightCare Foundation reached out to them at their time of need.

The Nigerian Coordinators for RightCare Foundation, Chidi Iwuji and Emmanuel Anyanwu reminded the women of the need to practice social distancing and other necessary preventive measures to reduce the spread of corona virus. This is the first program that RightCare Foundation has carried out in Nigeria and plans are underway to carry out more projects in due course.
